Halloween

This year Anna went as Minnie Mouse and Madeleine was a pink poodle! Anna had originally wanted to be TinkerBell, but when we were looking at the costume online she saw a Minnie Mouse one and that was it, it was Minnie Mouse from then on. Although of course when we were putting it on to go tricker treating she said I want to be TinkerBell, too late for that dear... She was happy with Minnie Mouse once the costume was on, especially when we told her how cute she was! She just ate that up:)! We went to the church fall festival instead of walking to houses, she got plenty of candy and has been sneaking it ever since. This morning I got out of the shower to see that she had been working on a sucker for quit awhile... Just like her Daddy loves those sweets!!

Update on the girls: Anna is saying new words everyday even some she makes up! She knows A,B,C,D,E,and F and can point them out everywhere. Although they are not called by the actual letter name; A is Apple Annie, B is Benjamin Bunny, C is Cathy Cook, D is Daisy Doll, E is Elmo the Elephant, and F is Funny Fish! That is fine, we are just excited that she can point them out in real life situations!! She is also getting to be a better eater, maybe Madeleine being so easy has something to do with it. But hey we will take what we can get!

Madeleine has got her two bottom teeth and we think is cutting the top 4! Yes you heard right 4! Her nose is running the New York Marathon and making her have a cough, hurry up teeth and come in already!! She has started pulling up on everything she trusts to not slide out from her, and loves to walk holding onto one finger. She explores the whole house this way! Her crawling is still the sit and scoot very interesting to watch but I think it is because she always wants to be in the sitting position, here she is less vulnerable!

Here are some pictures from Halloween:

Our trip to the Beach!

Our trip to the beach was wonderful and we are so glad we went to Fort Walton Beach and got to see old friends, it was a two in one!
Everyday Anna would wake up, see the beach out the balcony and say "Ready to go to the beach?!" And that is what we did every morning we spent a couple hours on the beach, some Madeleine even took a nap on a towel!
Anna loved playing in the sand, jumping waves and just being free to be as loud and active as she possible could. Madeleine loved running her feet and hands through the sand, eating it and with our help walk and try keeping up with Anna. She didn't mind the waves hitting her feet or splashing and getting her wet. I guess loving the beach starts early!! Good thing!! We had such a great time, we decided it needs to be something we do as least once a year get away from the everyday for a full week and just enjoy our family and life! Here are some pics from our week!

Happy 4th of July!!

It has been awhile since my last post but life is a bit crazy with a 2yr old and a now 6 mth old!! For the 4th weekend we had what they call a staycation but that doesn't mean we sat at home. On Friday we went to Sea World which we had bought season tickets for back in May. We swam at their water park, saw dolphins and sharks and watched the fireworks show. On Saturday we went to the New Braunfels parade which was great there was a live bandstand in the circle and the parade went around the circle. That evening we went to watch the fireworks at Landa Park we had the best seats on the golf course, we even got to see some deer watching the show! On Sunday it was so hot so we decided to head back to Sea World to swim in the water park! Anna had so much fun, she was asleep the minute she was strapped in the car. Madeleine liked being in the water but she got tired so we didn't stay too long, a couple hours.
Enough about the weekend! My girls: Anna is potty trained except for at night and a few accidents here and there!! She says everything we say so we have to be careful! And loves to be doing anything!! Madeleine is sitting up on her own, thinking about crawling and eating baby food! And she smiles at everyone:)! I can't beleive she is already 6mths old.
Here are some pictures from the weekend!

March

So here we are the beginning of April and Anna is almost two years old... I can not believe it! In an effort to get her potty trained before she turned two we set out the past two weeks and have been doing our own version of potty training boot camp. Diapers off no holds bar, bare bottom and all. For the first week she just ran around with a tshirt and potty's everywhere and low and behold the second day she started going on the potty!! Anna is very hard headed and won't be forced to do anything so it is her running to the potty when she has to go. No complaints here that means I don't have to ask nor deal with the temper tantrum that goes with making her sit on the potty. Great although it doesn't work so well when you are away from home, this little part of the total potty training experience will take a little longer and lots of accidents:)! But we will get there, pray for my sanity! Madeleine is getting big she started laughing a bit, it is so cute! She is also sleeping almost every night 6-8hrs at a time!! Yeah Go Madeleine!! And she is napping better during the day, only problem is she will only sleep in her cradle. Because she is getting bigger and won't fit in it too much longer... We will cross that bridge when we get there. Other than that a great month down in New Braunfels!

2 months gone by so fast!

Wow it is already March of 2009 how time flies when you don't get more than 3 hrs sleep at a time. Hopefully time will slow once Madeleine starts sleeping through the night... New Braunfels is nice so far everything is closer so less gas used and the weather is warmer which is good for the girls we can get outside more. We have started potty training, well we are trying, Anna just doesn't seem interested. Maybe a few more weeks and she will be! Madeleine is getting big fast smiling at everyone who smiles at her. She has also started trying to find her thumb, she knows where it is, just not how it get it out of her fist. It is funny watching her try though! Here are some pictures from the month.

4 Weeks already!!

Wow I can't believe Madeleine has been here 4 weeks already! Time goes by so fast. We have gotten mostly settled in down in New Braunfels, a few boxes left to unpack but nothing that we need right now so no hurry! I would advise to anyone who might be thinking of having two babies and then moving cities to not do it. It is not a fun time. But now we are here and things are getting into a routine and that makes it easier. Madeleine and Anna are doing very well, Anna is adjusting to all the new changes and Madeleine doesn't notice as long as she is fed every two hours and her diaper is changed. That is a difference between Anna and Madeleine, Anna did not care if her diaper was dirty or wet and still doesn't! Should make potty training super easy:).
Anna loves giving her hugs and kisses sometimes a little too hard but Madeleine doesn't seem to mind too much. Here are some pictures of the girls...
